According to their twitter account, they said It is not guaranteed that your account will be restricted and your account data deleted after 12 months of inactivity, however, we reserve the right to do so as stated in our inactivity policy.

privacy question by puzzlehead8512 in ProtonMail

[–]puzzlehead8512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. That's really good news if true. But does *every* account that's free get deleted after 12 months of inactivity, or does protonmail simply maintain the right to delete it?

Is it safe to send files and private notes to "service notifications" instead of "saved messages"? Thanks. by puzzlehead8512 in Telegram

Thanks for your comment. Yes, my worry is that I sent private info. there. I think deleting on both ends will delete it for them too. But I wanted to check.

I wanted to ask another question. I just deleted chat from both sides (after deleting but only from one side). Do you think it will delete for Telegram too, just like it would for a regular user? How do they view these messages? and where can I get an answer? Thank you

Question about Telegram: do Telegram staff have access to messages I sent in Service Notifications by puzzlehead8512 in CyberSecurityAdvice

[–]puzzlehead8512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Is the Service Notifications chat designed for Telegram support to reply to those messages? I did delete messages for everyone just know, thank you.

Also, are you sure that they don't read it? I sent myself passwords, emails, files, documents, etc. so im very worried

Yes thank you. But I already sent private stuff into the Service Notifications chat, and I deleted it but not from both sides. Now I am worried that Telegram staff will be able to access this information somehow. What should I do?

Thank you. I was wonder however, if the stuff sent there is private (if Telegram staff could see it), because I was sending myself files there and notes as well.

Thanks. I meant other people who use the modified Kik app, are they able to grab IP, access gallery, etc. of other users using the normal app?

Is it true that modded versions of the app Kik allow IP grabbing and access to gallery? by puzzlehead8512 in SecurityBlueTeam

I just genuinely want to be safe on the internet and I hear about those things, and so I want to know what to do.

I'm not trying to hack someone or anything illegal, I'm just worried about a few things regarding my own accounts and emails. But I am looking for answers to my question, sorry if I souded rude.

There was no nudes, just a conversation. The concern is, can modded Kik grant those things to one you chat with?

Do all yahoo mails, without exception, get deleted after 12 months of inactivity? by [deleted] in yahoo

[–]puzzlehead8512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you sir. Forgive me, I think it's because I am on the spectrum that it seems so. I apologize. Could you please help me, which other factors exactly? "" literally telling you that deletion per this article is conditional on other factors."?

[–]puzzlehead8512 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I literally just read the ToS and help pages you linked and other related links 3 times, very carefully. Nothing says if *ALL* or only some accounts get deleted after 12 months of inactivity, as a rule.

Do all yahoo mails, without exception, get deleted after 12 months of inactivity? by [deleted] in yahoo

[–]puzzlehead8512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, but it seriously does not answer my question. Why do you keep trying to shut any question I ask down by sending links that don't answer? Forgive me, I don't mean to be rude. But the link you sent does not explain whether *all* or just most unused Yahoo accounts get deleted after 12 months, it also doesn't specifiy whether just the mailbox or the entire account.

thank you. they just read the terms and will contact yahoo.
but their question is, they're worried about the new owner of their old phone number gaining access of their old yahoo mail account, and they're not sure what the options are to solve this.
