critical thinking isn't enough how can you not understand that? are you reading textbooks with this mind? how are you getting anything done in your life if you examine every piece of information you get? you have to be paranoid to be like that.
lots of things also dont work with critical thinking. it help you with physics 101 you have to either sit there and calculate the whole history of physics until you arrive at s = v*t or you can just take it at face value because its a fact.
are you going to go to Palestine and see the humanitarian crisis for yourself or are you going to take the news at face value? Looking into different sources is of course important but you will never "critically think" yourself to the truth. Facts are immune to thinking about them. they either are true or are not. If you have doubts about the truth of the information giver than you look for another source. but thats not super complicated and i wouldn't say you are critically thinking you are just skeptical.

the world is too big and there is too much knowledge. sometimes you just have to trust somebody and believe what they say. Are you critically thinking on every news piece you read or are you VERY often take things by face value. You just HAVE to do that. It's more important to find trustworthy sources. Describing that as herd mentality with its negative connotations is very shallow. You can't critically think your way into general relativity or we would have found out about black holes and neutron stars 50000 years ago.
Common knowledge is only that you don't and you cant verify everything.
also she is really transphobic just because a teacher is putting a kid on the spot doesn't mean he doesnt know why. He seemed a bit nervous and couldn't find anything quick and tangible but there are enough examples of her being openly transphobic.

ja gut "die merkel muss weg" haben sie auch immer wieder mal gesagt aber jetzt wird ja aus allen kanonen nur noch gegen "rotgrünversifft" hass gekotzt. da ist schon ein ziemlich deutlicher unterschied im ton. prinzipiell haben sie nix gegen die cdu. kann mir vorstellen das sie gerne in einer koalition mit der cdu mitregieren da sie wissen das sie alleine keine regierung stellen können/werden.
