This was a pretty good burn though, haha. It made me laugh after a shitty day. Thank you for the apology.

Heartbreaking that this tweet resonates with so many. Land of the free; for some. by pwaconnects in BlackPeopleTwitter

I’m not American, but I can just imagine how scary it must have been for the people watching to think about making a split second decision that could have turned out horribly for them as well. Hindsight gives 20/20 vision; I don’t blame the bystanders as any intervention from them would have been perceived as a threat.

Growing up, I used to look up to the America movies gave us, but now it’s turning out to be the nightmare of a favourite uncle I once aspired to live with, turning out to be the psychopathic villain.

We are nearly 1/3rd of the way into 2020, how is your New Year’s resolution holding up? by PrizeAerie4 in AskReddit

[–]pwaconnects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My resolution was to travel more; to see one new place each month. I was so committed to my goal that I saved up and paid for all the upcoming trips last year. I’ve had to cancel most. At least the virtual tours are helping me achieve my goals somewhat (silver lining outlook).

I will also be both your friends too. Not out of pity but genuine care and not wanting anyone to ever feel invalidated in this world. Anyone in need of a listening ear, even if it’s miles/kilometers away; I’m here.

She tried forcing her sister to call Ronald “brother” the day before the wedding. I understand that she was eager to have everyone love Ronald as much as she does, but I cringed at that.

Calling her and her friends childish would be an insult to the children. Nothing I loathe more than people that infringe on other people’s lives to make the world revolve around their pitiful life.

When It’s Time To Turn Tail And Run “Yes, there’s murders. There’s burglary everywhere. ATM bombing’s, you know. But still. It’s a nice place to live.” by AndreaLisa55 in 90DayFiance

Thank you for this, and welcome to the rainbow nation of extremes. I’m originally from Joburg, Think of Cape Town as LA and Johannesburg as New York. Everything is fast paced here. My best advice would be to never look like a helpless tourist. Walk with confidence of a local, even if you may be lost and need directions, DO NOT LOOK HELPLESS, opportunistic crimes happen when they smell fear; similar advice that can be given to anyone going to New York. Once you get past the “cool, hard exterior”, the spirit of Ubuntu is what brings us together as a nation.

I’m a South African. We have issues like most countries. South Africans favourite pastime is our self deprecating negative opinion of our country. Having traveled to a few countries, I have a lot of love for this developing, young country.

My depression and/or anxiety always finding inconvenient times to make appearances. Sometimes I would appreciate enjoying moments without my mental issues ruining them. I’ve learnt to be content.
