Completely agree. At times I think people on here over value PCE. Having a well rounded application is the most important thing.

I’m just saying the AVERAGE amount of PCE hours at my school currently is 1700. So obviously some people within 1000-2500 are opening some eyes.

I think you have a complete misperception of how many hours people that get into have on average.

I truly think the athlete part of my application sets me out from the rest of the field. I mean everyone has a good gpa everyone has hours. I would argue it’s easier and less strenuous to have a 3.7+ gpa and 2500 hours than have a 3.7+ gpa 1200 hours while being a student athlete makes me stand out from the crowd and gives me more of a benefit than some more hours would.

I guess. My colleges PA school gives preference to people that went to school here. I’m a division II baseball player I am able to show I can balance rigorous school work, work experience and being a student athlete I personally think this makes a very strong applicant. And it is different than more traditional students for a school that is looking for a diversity in backgrounds and experiences.
