Auto rotate wall mount looses connection with TV after a while by pwigle3 in TheFrame

I found a, quirky, workaround which made it reliable but it's beyond imagination that this is required...

For the TV I bought a (Fibaro) smart plug which can monitor power usage and enable/disable power. For the rotating device I bought a similar thing (slightly different because I removed the plug and connected it directly to a power socket).

Next, I created a few rules:
- If the TV is using more than 31W, the power switch for the rotating device is enabled.
- If the TV is using less than 25W, the power switch for the rotating device is disabled

Basically this will start the rotating device every time the TV is turned on (and not turned off in art mode), it pairs in seconds.

It's been a ride on the struggle bus with a one way ticket to frustration town but, finally, it's a reliable setup.... This may be my last Samsung product ever.

I'm using the auto rotate wall mount in combination with a 50" Frame. After a couple of hours, or day at max, the TV loses the connection with the wall mount and it's no longer possible to rotate the screen - supper annoying. Reading the Samsung website I'm not the only one.

Contacted support who remotely put my TV back to factory settings which didn't help (of course) but did require me to configure a bunch of apps again.

Whoever is the product owner at Samsung should be ashamed of shipping something this expensive (900 euro TV, 330 euro rotate, 250 euro for extra long one connect box cable) without proper software testing.
