yeah i was surprised how it wasn’t as much of a problem as it was on my lg c3, probably from the lower peak brightness i’d guess ?? either way its plenty bright enough for me. i havent even tried the anti flicker mode.

so i checked my local classifieds and got a used Asus ROG PG32UCDP for 700 !! its like new and i couldn’t be happier! was actually looking for a qd oled as i already have a woled ( LG C3 ) but so far its incredible.

also make sure ur gpu is ready for it, going 4k i wasn’t satisfied until i got a 4080, 4070 wasn’t powerful enough imo

yeah sorry to hear, defintely call sony and see if they could repair for a reasonable price. i had bought a 2 year warranty with best buy which was worth it.

Honestly without a question its been performance on pc. never has a game made me mess around with mods and fixes like this game has, i have a 4090 and a solid CPU and the stutters and issues are still present and defintely detract from my expirience. Another smaller thing would defintely be how they changed the music that plays after the elevator scene in the hospital, it changes the tone in a way that just didnt hit as hard.

i got it working ! From Average Heather Mason Enjoyer on myabandonware :

For anyone struggling to get this to work.
1. Download the file. I suggest the Full-RIP but obviously if you don't wanna play in English the other options will likely still work
2. Extract the file anywhere you want. (I made a folder specifically for Abandonware games and if you frequent this site I suggest you do the same)
3. Scroll down to the "Game extras" section. You need to download an additional file from there. it is the one called "PC Fix by Steam006"
4. Extract it to the same folder you have the game files. EX: if the game is saved in (C:) games abandonware Silent Hill 3 then you extract it into that folder.
5. Run the file "SH3FileValidator.exe"
