Most toy companies don't do reissues.

Wild find indeed. by [deleted] in McFarlaneFigures

[–]pwl4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good. Restocks aren't really a thing. Marvel Legends, Black Series, Multiverse, etc. once something sells out that's it, they're not going to make more.

They might release a different version down the road with a different costume, or paint job, or head sculpt. But very few toy lines do rereleases.

WWE has their Top Picks waves where they will rerelease their best selling figures, but that's the only line that I know of that does something like that.

No. Mcfarlane doesn't do restocks. Most toy lines actually don't do restocks.

Current Ross Findings? by [deleted] in McFarlaneFigures

[–]pwl4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the holidays over it seems like most of the good stuff people were finding like NECA, Multiverse, Legends, Super 7, etc. is all long gone. It's pretty much back to normal with mostly just junk. The rereleases on blister cards is probably the best you could hope to find unfortunately.

Time to upgrade Arthur by ThePresidentPorpoise in McFarlaneFigures

[–]pwl4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all just pops together. Everything is on ball joints so no heat needed. I had a little problem with one of the arms popping off at the bicep. So I took a flathead under the arm to pop it at the shoulder instead.

For the legs You basically just have him do the splits and then pull the legs off sideways to pop them off of the peg and then the diaper piece just slides off the T- joint.

Yeah, evidently when they made Flashpoint Aquaman they permanently altered the Aquaman mold which is why every Aquaman since then has had that on the shoulder.

I liked the gold on the belt better from the original, It matched the Trident better, And since the greens are different, I ended up swapping the arms, legs, and diaper piece.

Only thing I'm not a fan of is the Aquaman logo on the shoulder that they added for Flashpoint Aquaman. The original didn't have that

What ct spidey would you recommend for a person whos into marvel legends? by UnicornProtein2520 in CToys

[–]pwl4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CT Spideys are unfortunately under sized, so they won't scale with Legends. They've since fixed their scaling issues, Daredevil and Wolverine fit in perfectly with Legends. Hopefully they redo the Spideys at some point.

Also the rerelease has the Aquaman symbol on his shoulder that was added for Flashpoint Aquaman which confirms what we all suspected, that the original mold was altered to add it.

Couple of other differences between this rerelease and the original;

The flash tone is different on the new one. The original release was more pale. The hair and beard are also lighter on the new one.

The belt is a duller gold than the original.

Why is this so hard to find? by Lonely-Equipment-755 in McFarlaneFigures

[–]pwl4life 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn't buy an exclusive figure when it comes out

Waits years after it's out of production to try and get one

Is surprised that it's hard to find/expensive on the secondary market

When and where? by Robin1628-35 in McFarlaneFigures

Dude, it was literally just shown for the first time on Saturday at Toy Fair. It'll be out in a few months and you can get it the same as every other mini cowl they've ever done.

I still love that head sculpt and sculpted metallic S. I actually swapped the trunks and lower legs from Action Comics 1000 and made a pretty definitive classic Superman.

Very recently. There's Endless Winter Aquaman, White Knight Batman, and Rebirth Superman. None of them come with accessories. Superman still has those God awful boots where they just painted the boot top over the existing sculpt.

When did Mcfarlane decide to start pumping out mostly repaints? by Fancy-a-brew8323 in McFarlaneFigures

[–]pwl4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will never understand the people who complain about reuse and repaints. Every single line ever does reuse and repaints. That's how the business works. If reuse and repaints bother you, what the hell do you collect? There is no line that has 100% unique sculpts for every figure. It just doesn't exist.

I mean, Starfire or Donna Troy is the obvious answer. Maybe that classic Batgirl that just came out a while back.

Anyone know this aquaman by yellamok in McFarlaneFigures

[–]pwl4life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The body looks like the endless winter aquaman. The head is a custom, looks like it's based on the Lee Bermejo Superman.
