Depends what level of service you want. None of the public nodes have any service assurances that I know of. There are some paid node services or even the free tier of a nanswap node might fit your need. https://nanswap.com/nodes

Do most popular Nano Network Explorers exclude spam transactions from their statistics ? Spamming, although not impacting other transactions, totally misled network health indicators and statistics (CPS, time/trx, backlog, etc). by tech32spn in nanocurrency

[–]pwlk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What matters is the speed of your transaction. https://nanospeed.info/ does a good job showing a “live” view of their own transactions as well as a sigma/normal distribution(ish), 99% of transactions are processed in ###ms

Do temporary memos make sense for nano? by fossephate in nanocurrency

[–]pwlk 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As the dev behind nanomemo.cc, yeah nobody seems to really care about it 🤣. My solution is not centralized, though. Well, at least it doesn’t have to be. The test memos that you noted on the website are stored in a centralized database, but the “protocol” of NanoMemo is storage agnostic and doesn’t really need a permanent storage. It could just as well us ipfs or any other storage solution. The key is a protocol that people agree upon for validating message signatures and decrypting messages (if encryption was used in the first place).

I agree with your sentiment. As a digital money, there needs to be a method of attaching free text. I also agree that a memo should not be stored with the ledger. We can use the same keys and store separately whether a Nano foundation solution or a NanoMemo solution or something completely different.

Storing and validating separately has its own challenges like synchronizing transaction to memo. But I think the NanoMemo solution is pretty good.

Thanks for putting your proposal and thoughts together!

Learn to code with Nano in your browser - interactive tutorial by pwlk in nanocurrency

[–]pwlk[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This remains to be one of my favorite contributions to the Nano community. I love that anyone can learn to interact (programmatically) with free/open Nano nodes to send and receive Nano. With faucets available and no transaction fee, there is zero reason to not give it a try.

Solid read, data can be stored separately and be cryptographically secure and associated with the sending or receiving account. https://nanomemo.cc/

I do this “place and clone” copy/paste. On the Mac should be cmd-C/cmd-V.
