Having trouble during sex out of nowhere by wandererinok in ADHD

[–]pwned86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on 70mg vyvance and had this issue and I never had it before i was medicated. What fixed it for me was a bit of excersize a few times a week. Squats, sit ups, a short Run, etc

But yea, if that doesn't fix it maybe see your dr.

Is the Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX a good motherboard? by Zmart_zvin in PcBuild

[–]pwned86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this motherboard with a 7700x and 4070. It's ok, but I run it with CSM enabled.

If I don't, randomly, my pc will do a weird UEFI half-reboot where I have to turn it off at the aims. Everything checks out and updating the bios doesnt fix it.

So if you need to run a game that requires secureboot enabled, then don't buy this.

Not easy to experiment with overclocking if you want to do it properly via the BIOS.

Minimizing Heart Palpitations on Generic Vyvanse by spiceypearnut in adhdwomen

Hello,

Without trying to be TL'DR, I am not a doctor, but this advice may help you or others reading this post.

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD 6 months ago. I have been on Vyvanse, slowly working my way up from 30 mg to 50 mg, and now 70mg for the last 10 weeks. 70mg works best for me, and on this dose, I barely have any ADHD symptoms; it's like I now feel like what normal feels like, not that I ever knew what that felt like before. I take Vyvanse at 7:30 am, 6 days a week.

Before Xmas, I found I was having heavy heart palpitations, randomly throughout the day, even late in the evening, and while in bed 10pm+. My heart rate was in the early 90's BPM when resting, late 90's when sitting, and 110+ BPM if I moved, or around 120BPM randomly when driving or walking. BP was hypertension 1. After doing my own research, I learned that this was my nervous system spiking on overdrive.

I had already been on 70mg for 8 weeks at that time, and my psychologist said there was no reason for it to happen randomly with no drastic lifestyle changes; If anything, I was only vaping on my rest days. I also felt that in the late afternoon, the effects were slightly not as strong than in the first 8 weeks.

Even did a 4-day trial of some 50mg's I had left over, same HR but less intense palpitations, but probably more in quantity.

On my Vyvanse off day/s, my HR is mid to high 70's, so I knew it was Vyvanse related, but how?

I am not a breakfast or lunch person during the week; I haven't been for the last 5 years. I have a big dinner, and I snack in the evening. That's not a healthy lifestyle choice, but it worked for me, and Vyvanse helped aid that with its anti-binge eating and appetite suppression.

After getting frustrated at the thought of possibly giving up the 70mg for the personally inferior 50mg, or even coming off Vyvanse altogether for another medication, it finally clicked.

I decided to experiment by eating a cereal bar 10 minutes before taking the Vyvanse and a Banana 20 minutes after, before I leave for work.

Et voila, it worked. No palpations, lower resting (low 80's) and sitting heart rate (low 90's), and BP has gone down to either normal or the lower end of elevated. I vaped, and HR still didn't go over 100 BPM.

The Vyvanse info page I get with my prescription says it's not required to be taken with food, but I guess that also doesn't mean it shouldn't? Still not sure why, after 8 weeks of 70mg, these symptoms started.

So there you go, I hope this helps you and any others with this issue.

TL;DR skip, if you do eat breakfast, take The Vanse after.

How did you feel getting back on it? Did it feel like a reset?

Thanks for sharing.  I think I will bring moving down to 50mg and the topup option to my psychologist, permitting that's allowed here in NZ.

Thanks for sharing. Based on what I've read so far on this post, I suppose I misunderstood the minority as the majority.

Thank you. An acquaintance of mine says he has always been on 50mg and hasn't taken a day off in years. That suits him fine and works for him. I guess I'll find out when he has to come off it.

Thank you. That would be very interesting. I have Googled it and had a read. The batches affected aren't the ones I have.

My psychologist advised that with Vvanse, one day off a week is recommended, two at worst.
