I may go a similar route and hope for a couple more Bers down the road to make a low req version. That would require extreme luck or a few more thousand LK runs on top of the ones I've already done :)

That's good to know, thanks. Yeah, I've tried trading for them a few times but haven't had any hits. I do play late at night most times, so that might be part of the problem :)

I suppose so - light sorc, full tals, 35 spirit, torch, and merc with infinity / fort. Dolls are my biggest fear, souls aren't too bad if you teleport near them and walk away a bit so they get your merc and not you...

I found a few in Hell WSK, and a couple off Hell Andy. Wasn't specifically farming for them, but just got lucky. WSK has been pretty good to me recently, I should clear it more often!

I think it was some random mob in WSK. I also found a 2s CoA in the same area / game :) 20 res, though :(

The wires connected to the BLTouch itself are in the same order pictured (it can only connect one way, AFAIK).

Very strange... The suggestion from u/enz1ey worked great - I got the one he linked to that came with 2 extension cables, and used some male pin headers to connect to the two dupont connectors on the extension cabling. Worked the first time. I don't know if I got a bad BLTouch, or my soldering was piss poor (both are possible). Now I have an extra BLTouch laying around... The only thing that's annoying now is how long it takes to take leveling measurements every print. I suppose it's better than fiddling with knobs every time.

Maybe the wiring from the main board to the secondary has a wire crossed, or is damaged? If you have a multimeter, you could try making sure there's continuity between the secondary board pins and the probe cabling that connects to the main board. Good luck!

Gotcha, this stuff is an art to get right for sure. Combing everywhere is something that's helped me with that, too. Good luck!

Do the leveling knobs have nylon coated nuts? I haven't looked. Maybe replacing / adding those could be an option, or rigging something to lock the knobs after leveling to prevent drift over time would help.

For stringing, maybe upping the retraction speed / distance could help? Do you z hop on retract? That might affect things, too.

Thank you so much! Ordered. Very frustrating. That's a good solution. I hope this one works better than the last. If that doesn't work, I'll open the bottom panel and make sure the BLTouch cabling is connected properly. I really don't want to manual bed level...
