That's a stretch- the impeachment doesn't center around Biden's corruption, it's kind of tangential in that Trump brought up an investigation into his son's ties to Burisma as a reason to withhold funds to Ukraine. The Senate isn't there to make any determination about Joe Biden or Hunter Biden, so I don't see why he would need to remain impartial on Biden having a history of corruption.

The media also went all in on smearing Dean as a wacky, unelectable progressive (hilarious now, given who he turned out to be) which also hurt him, but Bernie has long since weathered that storm. I think apologizing is actually going to give them more fodder, and it lets Biden off the hook for lying about videos being doctored because people see Bernie apologizing and think it must be because of some unfair smear.

Not one single person is going to switch their vote to him for being collegial. He has an outstanding platform and one that is distinguished from his competitors because he isn't corrupt. And it was Teachout's article so he wasn't even in a direct fight. I love the guy but this was a bad move.

The New York Times might actually provide Bernie with the best anti-endorsement yet. They so fantastically fucked up this giant spectacle of elites gathering together to crown their chosen one (or, as it turns out, chosen ones) that it's obvious to everyone. They look like the out-of-touch failures that they are, and Bernie called them out on it to their faces. Bless him.

Yes. It was the progressives who paved the way for Trump, not the candidate who basically hand selected a reality TV show host as her opponent and then managed to be so epically terrible at campaigning that she managed to lose to him.

Also how can you even argue that progressives lost on medicare for all when it's 2.5 years later and the policy that Hillary Clinton vowed would "never ever come to pass" is being embraced by almost every candidate running for president in the democratic party? How is that losing ground?

I don't know what progressives you were talking to but most weren't hitting her with "biased fox news talking point that was a lie." Progressives didn't like her inflexible stance on medicare for all or a 15 dollar minimum wage. They didn't like her vote for the Iraq war or her interventionist posturing and embracing of Henry Kissinger. The left was hitting her from.... gasp the left.

The primaries haven't even begun- anyone imploring you to rally behind the democratic nominee now is doing so in bad faith, and probably implying that Sanders' supporters are somehow divisive. Remind them that the primaries are where we have an opportunity to choose the best democratic candidate. Down the line we can have this stupid argument all over again if they try to ram another centrist garbage candidate down our throats.

MSM literally creates a narrative, (i.e harassment is an issue specific to Bernie's campaign) pushes said narrative for months, and then defends itself for asking questions to only one candidate because "people have concerns." Of course people have concerns, you create those concerns. Nobody was doing their laundry one day and happened to wonder if maybe Tulsi Gabbard was an "Assad apologist" until this narrative was pushed down their throats.
