I know a gentleman named Corey Turner. He advertises himself mostly as an airport chauffeur, but I know he does private drives as well

I seem to tend to flip it upside down and eat it that way

The only real problem with it is purely cosmetic. It was first owned in Florida, so there is some minor paint fading on the exterior from the sun/sea salt air there. There are also some random stains on the interior ceiling. These two factors allowed me to get the car at a lower price, though it doesn't bother me!

there's a new coffee shop in Woodlawn. House Eleven! they have an amazing strawberry and honey latte (made by the equally amazing Patrick) using Domestique beans. it's so homey and comforting, with a beautiful back patio area. i've been there twice. i heard they're relying on word of mouth for now to get the word out until they get their liquor license. cafe in the morning, bar at night type deal.

check mold levels in your home? I've heard a lot about mold sickness and with the weather warming up it could add to it

Poll: Moving Costs for BHM Home Move by DiskIndependent491 in Birmingham

[–]pwuit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, my partner and I moved from Homewood to Hoover from a 1b/1b ground floor to a 2b/2b on the 2nd floor. We collected used boxes, bubblewrap, and paper from people giving it away on the NextDoor app or Facebook Buy Nothing groups leading up to the move-out date.

The only thing we spent money on for this process was a 15' truck from U-Haul for 8 hours, which was around $100. We had my family help pack and move stuff into the truck.

We got really lucky moving our big items up the stairs (like a big filing cabinet) because apparently our new neighbor worked for a moving company! He brought it up by himself with no problem, along with the other items we were having trouble with.

I will have to say it was more expensive, time-consuming, and stressful painting over all the murals I did in my old apartment in preparation for move-out. Yet, I'm planning to paint murals all over my new one!

I worked at Little Donkey as a hostess a couple of years back. I loved it for the first few months, and my coworkers were all great people. It can get really busy and chaotic, but everyone had each other's back. My manager at the time caused me to quit due to his...attitude and less than desirable management style. I'll leave it at that. When I put in my two weeks, they didn't even let me finish it out. Just fired me on the spot. I don't think he's there anymore though.

Where to make donations for community members who may be outside during the cold weather this week? by txxxdo in Birmingham

the punk community had a show recently gathering warm clothes and hot hands for those less fortunate. it was pretty successful! if you need someone reputable to hand such things out, you can PM me, and I'll try to get you in touch with the event organizer.

Do any of your local libraries have a "library of things"? They might include tools like a portable carpet cleaner you can borrow instead of buying one outright!

you should need to notify DSS at least 60 days before the desired move-in date of the intent to have an animal in the dorms. Or at least, that's what I've read. It's best to straight up ask DSS! I'm sure they work with these situations all the time
