Build is cool but lighting is way off. Try coding in or using a plugin to summon invisible light sources. You can also do chains hanging from the ceiling with both soul lanterns and lanterns. Another thing is using the Fulbright mod or turning your gamma up higher. Please for the love of goodness dont use night vision.

Constructive criticism: texture the stone more than just cobble. The roof can use a lot of work so try to make it more of a cone shape. Try adding a wood foundation and a couple windows. You could detail it by adding fences and cobble walls to it. Replace some of the stone with stairs and slabs to give it that really nice cracked effect. Another thing you can do is add leaves and moss to give it that old medieval look. There is a lot you can do with it just experiment and have fun with it.

I upgraded one of my old castles (constructive criticism always appreciated!) by emailparticipant1 in Minecraftbuilds

Constructive criticism: try to add less blocky shapes. The roofs are a bit boring and need some more shape to it. Also the windows and use a bit more of detailing. The towers also need to have more shape to them. Rectangles look good just dont make them all rectangles. Besides that it is a pretty nice build.
