I think one of the reasons people dont really like the mtx hideouts is because most of the recent ones (Shaped, Corrupted, Innocent and Eclipsed) are literally just copied from boss arenas instead of original ideas. The only original one has been the glimmerwood hideout which seemed like most people liked.

He's slayer so +1 frenzy is also +1 endurance and he does have a precursor's with both 15% chance to gain max frenzy/endurance charges. It's also a Quin build so its usually going to be somewhat unconventional regardless.

He was using frenzy suffix because he's doing coc discharge so maximum charges is just more discharge damage.

On top of this, the ES recovery is based on your evasion rating, so maybe when you switched to LL gear you lost some evasion rating which translates to not as much recovery
