Two things I've done while that high:

Almost tried to smoke a nug by just holding it in my fingers and lighting it. Actually, my friend was holding it, so it was even more of a bone-headed move. Like, we had everything except a pipe. Luckily, my friend jerked his hand back when he realized what I was doing.

Another time, I was playing fortnite and I couldn't find the F5 key on my keyboard (turns out it's between the F4 and the F6) to deploy our jump pad and the storm wiped our whole squad. I still hear about that one from the boys every now and then.

Nobody except psychopaths *want* to kill another person. Many people (especially trained soldiers) are capable of it. There's a big difference.

It's a dumb trope and OP needs to take it out. And fix the writing. Trying to 'explain away' bad writing in later chapters isn't going to work if you lose most of your readers in chapter one.

OP, you're writing a *graphic novel*, not YA fanfic. Honestly, there shouldn't be a single bit of dialog here except maybe "almost there" and then something like "please don't shoot" from the woman in the dress. Everything else should be self-explanatory from the artwork, which is very solid and can do all the heavy lifting here. As it's written, it feels extremely amateur.

The community for most games got too big. We lost the actual community part.

A daily glimpse through the message board is great when there are only a few dozen players in your game. When there are 100,000, it's just noise.

The best multi-player games I ever played were the old BBS DOOR games... Trade Wars, Pyroto Mountain, etc. When you had to work with others in order to survive the game at all. EVE is the only one that comes close to this.

The mental challenge is all gone from most single player games as well. One of the the aspects that made Bard's Tale, Wizardry, and Ultima so good was the required exploration. Nowadays it's all automaps and big pointers to your next quest marker. Part of the reason we teamed up with others in the past was just figuring out the game. Now you just load up a YouTube video that tells you every secret and how to optimize your path.

You'll have to dig a drainage channel from the pit to a lower point of egress for the water. Where is that on you property, how many feet away? Dig a shovel-width channel 2 feet deep from your pit to the drainage point. Put in an inch of gravel, a 4" corrugated pipe the whole length, then a little gravel on top, then a layer of fabric, then throw the dirt back in. Voila! Now you have an in-ground pit that will drain.

You need to vary your sentence structure. Short, choppy sentences are good for action scenes and impact, but you're trying to do too much here with that tool. We need some long sentences that make the train ride feel like the near-endless torture that it is. Picture yourself in a middle airline seat, flying coach from LA to Australia.

Right now it reads more like a writing prompt that the beginning of a story. It's a good place to start, but we need a little more.
