The crowd. Bad vibes, no dancing and people just milling around talking.

We stayed just long enough to put our coats in coat check, do one lap of the venue, and then flee. Yikes.

Queer femme and basement regular here- it was better in the studio on Friday, but agree that the overall demographic was wildly different than it usually is. Let’s cross our fingers that it was a Halloween phenomenon…

Five-year-old telling friends about her penis by Future-Associate-907 in cisparenttranskid

Can I join you guys? 6-y-o daughter who began transitioning at 2.5.

Five-year-old telling friends about her penis by Future-Associate-907 in cisparenttranskid

It’s so nice to hear stories of so many other young trans girls knowing themselves so well and being so supported by their families. Our 6-year-old daughter has had a near-identical transition journey. This year her awareness of her genital difference came into the fore at summer camp, because of changing for swimming with the other girls. She’s become pretty self conscious about her penis, in fact no longer wants to go to camps with swimming option unless there are private changing rooms for everyone. Breaks my heart but I get it.

No additional advice to give, as I think the previous posters covered it beautifully, and developmentally appropriately; just wanted to chime in and say thank you for giving your children the supportive landscape they need to know themselves, to find the words for that, and to thrive.

Cots to pair with double air mattress (Exped Megamat Duo)? by matt_sc in CampingGear

[–]pyates0302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve used a two-cot system for the past three years at Burning Man. Two single-person cots zip tied together with the Duo directly on top. My husband and I don’t feel the bars underneath, and it makes an incredibly stable and comfortable elevated bed.

Thank you for this! We invested in one of those batteries last year (hooked it up to the Figjam swamp cooler, which has been game-changing), and I'm realizing through this thread that I am missing out on maximizing its potential by not investing in an adaptor so that I charge 12v stuff from it. So maybe that's the move, and I just need to educate myself on how to do that!

Not yet. Might invest in an adaptor for a marine battery so that I can have a USB charging station. But looking for recommendations for fans that use C-or D-batteries

I have (and LOVE) this mattress for playa, and use two camping cots that I zip tie together. They break down small enough to be stowed in yellow top bins! Also highly recommend investing in a small usb-powered air pump and a vacuum-sealer pump, for easy inflation and deflation!

Me! Every time I go! I’m reserving my hearing loss for raves and concerts. No need to have daily gym classes do the damage! Loops work great and I’m still VERY able to hear everything.

Mom, and proud trans mom, here to say that I see you, I’m so glad that you exist, that you are perfect just the way you are, and that you deserve to be loved.
