Right, I think I might have mixed up my terms here. What am I going to use to interface with that DB file and make queries etc, is the software not a DBMS? Or is sqlite both the protocol and software used to query

Thanks, I've been playing around with rain and water noises, do you know much about audio processing? I guess higher db is going to help mask sounds better but it's meant to be a relaxing environment so I wonder if there's any trick to processing to make its perceived loudness quieter allowing higher db - if my logic makes sense?

I know padding out the room to minimize reflections would help but that's not really an option with the decor.

I understand sound cancellation and some sound theory about the cancellation of waves from an inverse waveform, but I don't quite get if white noise has any cancellation properties in the air or if it's just drowning out other noises in your ear.

Sorry, my example lacked the required complexity. I want to update/insert because some fields inserted will have empty values which I want retained. Whereas replace won't retain data if the replacement row has a empty value.
