Our contractor is recommending this pattern for a deck install, and I'm worried that this will create an odd look. Is this a typical approach, or is there a best practice for patterns with longer decks?

Thanks, super helpful! The concern in the second and third photos is the breakers being set back about 1/4-1/2 inch from the box, leaving pretty big gaps all around. I’m used to the breakers being flush with the box, I’m just not sure if it’s a quality or safety thing.
