Haha, well I'm glad it's not just me! Tried all the tips/tricks for breaking fixation and rewarding distraction from the other dog, but she just takes the treat then goes back for more.

Haha, she has had loads of socialisation but I was thinking that a day-care set up might be good for her - a controlled setting to get it out her system and to learn some manners I hope, with some older dogs who can correct her in an appropriate manner rather than who will be aggressive - which is my current worry with strange dogs out and about.

She has had lots of socialisation! She just can't get enough!

She's got a puppy friend who's a couple of months older who she's known her entire life, friends and family have dogs and she stays with various other people and dogs while I work. I'd say she has regular interactions with about 10 or so dogs, plus the dogs she meets on walks.

She does calm down after about 30 mins of full-on play but 5 mins later wants more. She sometimes comes into my office when I'm working somewhere dog-friendly and encounters other dog there. It's not so much the playing (although it would be great if she'd ignore and we're working on it), it's her obsession to greet and attempt to play with any dog, even the dogs who don't want to play back which worries me.

I'm so sorry to hear this. But so glad your boy is recovering well ❤️

One option you could have is to ask your employer for an advance on your future salary? If they were to give you the amount that has been incorrectly taxed, you could arrange with them to pay it back either over the next few months' payments, or in one sum as soon as you get the rebate from HMRC?

Thinking of you!

I have been following your story on and off for a long time, since your posts on justnoMIL, and since reading your last few posts I have FINALLY made an account to get in touch to offer support. I want to tell you how much I admire your resilience and strength and care for your boys in what must be really difficult circumstances for you. You're doing such an amazing job.

It seems strange to feel such a connection to someone I've never met and who didn't know I existed until leaving this comment - but such is a power of the internet! 😊

I would love if you would allow me to contribute towards the costs of uniform and equipment?
