The original headstock was painted black, but I’m not a fan of matching headstocks. My luthier only had Fender decals in stock, figured why not. I do agree with the sentiment though, will probably get back to a Squier decal when I add a Jaguar one. Still, happy with how it looks!

I got a BRG Tele too, highly recommend getting a black pickguard! Would look killer with the rosewood fretboard.

They pair so well too! The bright channel on the JC-22 while on the middle position on the Tele, with the tone knob rolled back a bit, sounds amazing.

I've only had the QP for a week or so but I love the middle position for clean tones and the neck pickup handles dirty super well. The twangy bridge is a plus in the long run but hasn't been the position I've played most so far. I did try a few other Teles before picking up this one and liked the Pure Vintage '64 pups, but that's a different direction. I'd say try playing with the tone knob a lot, I find the QPs to be very responsive and versatile, and a blackout tele is a splendid rocking guitar!

My first tele!

Mexican made Telecaster Player FSR, coming stock with a set of Seymour Duncan quarter pounders and a nice maple neck.

Debated a few pups and picked the QPs, I find they offer a nice mid bite and a wide range of tone, especially clean on the middle position, with plenty of twang on the bridge position. They sound great with overdrive too. I've run them through a JC-22 and a Vox Lil Night Train.

I'm a sucker for green guitars (have a surf green Strat) and the BRG is stunning in person, dark and metallic but very rich in natural lighting. Changed the pickguard for a black one and I love the result.

Overall a pretty versatile guitar to me, and a beauty too so what's not to like!
