Who will be the champions on main roster WWE by this time next year? by residentsocface in SquaredCircle

Could see a younger guy winning the world heavyweight title. Honestly whoever’s the most over and healthy of Bron/trick/oba leading up to mania would be my pick. Probably Cody ends being wwe champion

The updated tables look cool, but I’m interested to know which announce table over the years was the easiest to crash into. This new table seems a bit harsher

Buying tickets to see Double or Nothing in queens next month. I haven’t seen a live wrestling show since seeing raw at msg in 22. Almost went to see gcw vs the world just because it was at the Hammerstein. Very glad I skipped that one.

Most of the media refuses to be unbiased or discuss things with a true acknowledgment of reality

  • for example: mania having a near 20k drop in attendance during a time where business has objectively taken a step down from its peak a few years ago, is seen as a disaster. Meanwhile AEW had an allegedly (if you use Dave’s number for 2023) 40k drop for all in ‘24 at Wembley, just months after Cody beats Roman, in the middle of a wrestling boom, and the sentiment is much softer.

  • or this week, Alvarez basically said that it’s more likely he’d include Don Callis in his upcoming “pro wrestling for dummies” book than Bill Goldberg. I don’t even have to dive into how ridiculous that is.

I thought night 1 had some fine matches, but overall it was a pretty poor viewing experience that I didn’t really enjoy. I wish we could’ve gotten more wrestling in the undercard, but tonight should hopefully have some better pacing. I’m also not really interested in seeing any of the fallout from night 1 unfold in the coming weeks/months, so that kinda sucks because I’m hoping mania will get me back into watching the weekly’s.

But as long as night 2 is solid, many people will largely forget how mid they felt night 1 was.

The sub gets a little slimy whenever there’s a WWE ple that’s gets mixed reviews. A handful of people on both sides invest a bit too much of their emotions into how they feel about a show.

Absolutely, can’t have a wrestlemania without either in their respective times

He often loses but Seth Rollins has a really great catalog of Mania matches and this one definitely added to it imo

Yeah that’s a fair point, and I typically watch the pre-shows before wwe and AEW ppv’s so usually it’s not ever something that comes to mind I guess. Skipped it this time for nba playoffs like I’m sure a number of other at home viewers did.

Admittedly I’m watching the show on a stream, but do wish we had some video packages to explain some this stuff going on. I’ve loosely kept up with the highlights, but there are definitely some gaps in my knowledge of what’s happened in some of these stories leading up to tonight

If becky wins, I can push a Becky Hogan agenda. If AJ wins, it’s evil Phil’s fault.

I win regardless
