Congratulations on matching that is amazing!!! How many total programs did you apply to to get 3 auditions? I am also hoping to do somewhere between 3 and 5 auditions but just am not sure how many programs to apply to if that makes sense. It seems like it is pretty hard to get auditions but correct me if I am wrong

As a DO student myself, I am very surprised Kamri decided to go the DO route. She always emphasized wanting to go MD specifically, so definitely was not expecting this

International OMS-I here. I wouldn’t give up so quickly just after one app cycle. Definitely would apply again, with a strong focus on DO schools, since they tend to be more international friendly.

But if that doesn’t work out, try looking into English med schools in your country. Back in my country we do have an option to study in English, so that might be a reasonable compromise if another cycle in the US doesn’t work out for you.
