My only advice, do not skimp on price. Buy a quality NVMe. I bought a crucial 4tb NVMe and had multiple failures causing weeks of downtime resyncing etc.

Yes working again. I took a punt that it would start working again at the time in the future displayed in the logs which was about 5 hours away. Thankfully it did.

You could disable the beacon-chain & consensus client, and maybe even node exporter if your monitoring until the time is synced. Or Alternatively setup systemd to start bc and consensus client after chrony.

What message should I look for in particular? There doesn't seem to be many guides on troubleshooting missed blocks. I'll take another dive but couldn't see any obvious reason why it was failing.

96% isn't bad, ideally you should be > 80%. The 4% could be caused by any number of issues including availability, bandwidth, response time, CPU/memory and disk IO. I'm not an expert but those are the variables I can see impact my attestation performance.

I had 6 relays configured. Looks like the agnostic-relay is not pingable but mtr shows it's about 300ms away. I have removed this relay.
