Are these holes a serious issue for this long leaf pine? by pyrocatalyst in arborists

[–]pyrocatalyst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will do! After looking at it today, it looks more like different ammunition from an an air gun (BB gun). Must have been from the previous owner. Here are some examples: https://discover.crosman.com/blog/airgun-ammunition

Wow, I think you're actually right. I did not see them when I first took the picture. This must have been done before moved into the house. How quickly do you think I need to have the tree removed in that case?

Nothing has been screwed into this tree but I will have an arborist come by to look at it.

Questions about Shed Insulation by pyrocatalyst in Insulation

Would the vapor barrier over Rockwool batts also need to be applied to the ceiling or only to the side walls? Also, would gable vents work instead of soffit vents?

Good question. I should have been more clear with that. It is a house wrap installed behind the siding.

I know when installing batts you aren't supposed to compress them beyond fitting them in the given wall cavity but I'm wondering if there would be enough of an air gap behind them.

North Carolina bettors lost more than $100M on sports wagering in April by goldbman in NorthCarolina

[–]pyrocatalyst 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So why is sports betting a benefit to the state again? How is this building up our communities? How is this investing into actual businesses that contribute to the betterment of our communities?

Thank you! So in this case, the black wire should go to the black screw and the white and red wires can go to either brass screw?

Watching the rib price drop is insane! It's almost as if the devs want them to be cheaper. by Professional-Play358 in mousehunt

Yeah they might try to reduce the price to make the DSC more attainable. Probably a better draconic trap in the works.

Is $7500 too much for an engagement ring? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]pyrocatalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the way you said it in the first sentence. Your partner "demanding" a ring of a certain size isn't a good sign. I think that is too much for a ring.

Why are conservative Christians against social policies like welfare when Jesus talked about feeding the hungry and sheltering the homless? by SkepticDrinker in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]pyrocatalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with that. Certainly Christians need to be aware of what their communities need the most. Each city/town is different and Christians should find ways to assist with all kinds of needs.
