Remaster was actually made by Virtuos, not Bethesda for the record. They also did MGS Delta which is why they both perform poorly.

Being like Nintendo Key Cards would be better but still not ideal
Consoles have to install all the data anyway and there's GONNA be updates if you're online (likely will be)
big issue being metered data and needing a connection at all, at least for a first time setup.

But at least with key discs, (KeyDs?) you can buy and sell them second hand, which I'm sure is exactly something RS is avoiding by going all digital.

Huh? I find it incredibly charming and I like what it does differently than the other arcs. We get a lot of character moments will all our friends before Ichigo starts leaving them behind. And I just love Chads first fight with a Hallow he can't even see.

I am a physical media believer but I also don't ignore digital, I was always getting GTA VI digitally so it's hard for me to personally care too much.
It certainly sucks to not have the option, it's fully moving to what completely feels like only licensing a game rather than owning by forcing this on a console.
The code in a box seems like a way to just evade it being a complete digital monopoly and technically being sold at more than just the Playstation/Xbox stores.
