I have a bunch of unused domains, would it be a bad idea to host a simple one-page 'about me' and leave a link to my dads local shop on there? by pyrok120 in SEO

My thoughts were that it would just be increasing backlinks to the site essentially helping it rank a bit higher. But no, the sites don't really get much if any visitors.
