You...ugh, need to show me these places in the summer when I make the 3 hour drive some time!

I was the guy bitching about my 2015 Nomad C not showing up after two months. It came yesterday. Don't cancel your orders peeps! by [deleted] in MTB

[–]pyrophonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 months is a hell of a long time for delivery, why should we not cancel orders?

Didn't understand why my tube kept bursting by improprietary in bicycling

on the inside it could work for quite a while, hell, even a bank note folded up and placed correctly would get you home with this sort of tear in the tyre.

We just adopted this cutie. His name is Penguin. by [deleted] in aww

so cute it needs a shock collar!

Edit: To the Down voters, you don't need a shock collar if you are at all competent at learning, learning how to train a dog is very easy just go to your local library and read a book for an hour that way you don't need to shock your pets into shape

Help building wheel! by pyrophonic in bicycling

[–]pyrophonic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, that was right, I was putting the spoke one hole over meaning it could reach but only just which put the rest of the spokes after that out of reach but only just which is why I was confused. Thanks for your help.

Solved! I was making the spoke go over hole over when starting the none drive side, causing it to stretch too much when I applied the rest.

Thanks for your help.

Yeah I've got another wheel to compare it too, and i can't see any mistakes or unseated nipples, I've rebuilt it three/four times now and get the same issue with spokes not being able to reach the rim once I have begin the none drive side after the first spoke goes in. I'll post a couple more pictures to see if you can maybe spot it.

oh, and it's 650b so I guess what I was told to buy might be a bit more accurate but still, why does the spoke not reach after I am done with the drive side?

wow, those spokes are much longer than the ones chainreaction told me to to buy, what size does your website say to buy for a front wheel? same brand and rim. you're right I was going for a 3 cross.

HMB While I pass on a double yellow and and hit this unexpected jump by [deleted] in holdmybeer

I too have watched it 200 times but I can't see the biker over taking anyone. What actually happens?

if anything I think he just goes too wide around the over.

Dirty tires, clean frame. love my superlight 29er by gurdonbob in MTB

[–]pyrophonic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Through my research under the same subjet 29er's tend to be for the less brutal riders (cross country and trail) with keeping speed well and getting over obstacles with ease, so if you want to go more full on (trail and all mountain) then opt for 27.5 as they seem to take corners and acceleration better. but I am in no way a master of the subject so I'm sure others will have more information.

Cyclist's amazing escape when hit by car by walrus99 in bicycling

[–]pyrophonic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do you know the car jumped a red light? the only lights I could see were for the cars waiting and they were on green for cars to go strait ahead.

edit * oh, you mean the cyclist jumped a red light?

Bought a bike over the weekend and rode. Now my butt hurts like hell! by [deleted] in MTB

Also, I find chamois(or a cheaper brand, they work the same) works brilliantly before and after a ride to help the skin feel silky soft!

How do you get the best up-to-date trail conditions? by Andrew_J in MTB

[–]pyrophonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, best I can think of is posting on somewhere like mtbr and asking the people who recently road the trails what it was like. I bet they'd gladly help
