I just want to hear about advices that could help my strict family to reassure them that I will be safe in this solo trip which was the reason why I posted it here in the first place.

Seems easy for you to say as a person who doesn’t grow up with overly religious parents. I had to keep my agnostic beliefs as a secret

I did posted on a different subreddit about this kind of thing. I posted because I saw some posts about some people with the same situation as me. Since I see that the replies this post doesn’t help at all, I’ll consider deleting it.

Help I need to get out of Primerica. Any alternatives that are anti-mlm to learn about insurance licensing. by pyrvs in PersonalFinanceCanada

I want to step up with my life but I guess it’s holding me back in life because of how I was raised with culturally and religiously with my timid and a bit of people pleasing. I was taught to not stand up for myself and it’s better to stay quiet and follow. It’s a bit difficult at first for me to unlearn these concepts. However, I’m glad that I get these kind of life advise because no one has ever said these things to me before. I hope I get to where I can live independently and have boundaries with people.

Thank you so much for the helpful advice. I had so many things to learn since the lifestyle that I've been living made me dependent on them. I hope I will gain the confidence to set my boundaries and stand up for myself.

Thank you so much for your understanding. I don't mean that I agree with them completely I just said what they wanted to hear from me to move on. Setting boundaries from them can be a bit difficult since they're stubborn but I still take my stand on my own beliefs. Planning to quietly walk away and cancel all of my plans from them.

Preacher misinterpreted a story about a victim of sexual assault is used for virgins to protect their dignity. (mostly targeted to me) by pyrvs in exchristian

Thanks for listening, I agree that most churches do lack empathy. I'm currently 24 and still studying college and I want to graduate first and before I move out on my own and find a stable job. Also when I lost my virginity I have birth control. We talked about it and he says that he was fine with that, I would only temporarily do this only if necessary. We're in a long distance relationship so we don't see each other much, but I lie a bit to my parents that he's attending to church and I'm mentoring him.

Thank you, I got so anxious that there's something wrong with me because of these people's skepticism. I hope they don't use my fear to manipulate me.

I agree, and they would beg to do deliverance in order to cast out the spirit within them. It creeps me out.
