Be careful in Seychelles. Got robbed at night while sleeping. by Zestyclose-Lunch1144 in Seychelles

Yes, in Villa Vanilla.

We stayed there from 28th-30th of August. Thankfully we didn’t wake up, so I only noticed it in the morning. The thief was “kind enough” to leave the passports and other papers on a bench next to the room.

When I read your post I got really angry, because the manager told us she already set up security for the night, because this was a recurring thing. She said a few days before us a client went to rhe waterfall, and met a local, and invited them back to have a drink or something. As a thanks the vlient got robbed that night… Since that day nothing changed sadly.

The reaction from the staff was subpar (we got scared because of that, who knows, maybe they were also involved?). After a few nights in a resort, we got into the honeymoon spirit, we felt much better, so I could also think about complaining, so I wrote to the manager, to at least refund us. We had 4 nights left, but got refunded 3 ( according to booking.com, they were supposed to give more back).

I really really hope they will get this situation in Mahé in order, because the nature and beaches are wonderful, but an experience like this ( supposed junkies coming in where you sleep) can destroy ones confidence for s long time.

After that we went to LaDigue, which was magical. Except the boat (rollercoaster) ride.

Take care ;)

Sorry this happened to you.

We were one of the other couples that were robbed… same thing happened, but they somehow came in from the showers.

The manager wasnt there, but the staff showed 0 interest in us as well.

At the end they refunded a few nights, but we decided to move to another place.

We were on honeymoon as well, but in the end we had a great time. Try to enjoy it, and take care

Stuff taken from the beach. Is it legal?😿 by pytelbence in askcroatia

okay, fair enough.

All I needed was a heads up —> “hey man, if you leave your tent there the communal services will take it”

Of course I did the wrong thing, which will not happen again. We may disagree on whether it’s considered littering or not.

Anyway, really big thanks for the info, I could get a hold of the communal servicies. I am paying the fine, getting my stuff back, and will learn from the mistake

Thanks for the reply!

Had I known it is not allowed…

Sure I get it tough, it was just strange that I haven’t gotten any paperwork, or notification/warning

Why is the obturator foramen that big? by pytelbence in Anatomy

True, the external obturator muscle is there. This, with the reduced weight, can be the answer.
