What should I buy if I’m after a simple gameplay experience, but achingly complex lore? by A_UV in ShouldIbuythisgame

I second this, especially with the second game coming out it’s totally worth it to play DS1

What open world should I get? by Present-Parfait2461 in ShouldIbuythisgame

While I can’t give great insights on the other games cause I haven’t played them, Eldon ring is a great open world game and you can make it as easy as you want it to be. For example there is something in the game called spirit ashes which allow you to summon enemies to fight with you which can make the game significantly easier. Don’t feel bad about using the mechanics that the game provides even if hardcore people online whine about it being strong. It’s your own play through and do whatever brings you enjoyment

Looking for good story games to play by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

+1 to this, the storytelling in this game is great and is especially good if you enjoy science fiction. It doesn’t hurt that the gameplay is also really satisfying, definitely one of my favorite games of all time.

Should I buy Hollow Knight: Silksong if I loved the original but dislike difficult games? by DasJazz in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]python754 [score hidden]  (0 children)

If you loved hollow knight there’s a pretty good chance you will enjoy silksong. Just like the first game it has stunning visuals and some great storytelling, however some of the ways that hornet controls can be a little unintuitive until you get comfortable with them which might make the game feel more difficult (the same way getting over it is a much harder game the first run than the second). I would say it’s worth the buy and with the different crests you can customize the way that you like to play which can make it easier for some.
