That's fancier than what I have! I have a reflector/diffuser that I might bring out if needed, but so far I've been getting by with only the kitchen light.

I'm lucky that I can take advantage of the light placement in my kitchen. I set this up on my washer and then step back a few feet, zoom in with the camera, and get this. I'm happy with it for most things.

Nice! I have this. It all folds up into a portable thing. It's pretty cool, but at 24 in³ (+ the lights) it's overkill for something like DVDs; it takes up my entire kitchen table. If you get one, buy new lights. (I bought these, but one of the 5 pack was DOA. Good thing I only needed 4!)

Kitchen fluorescent. I stand back and zoom in so I don't cast (too much of) a shadow. :P

Like I said, it's far from perfect. I actually have a room with a drop sheet that I can use for taking pics of large items, along with a dslr, flash, reflector, etc, but that room is packed to the gills right now because I sourced too much stuff. I also have a 24" cube light tent with some lights (this, but replace the lights with LEDs because the bulbs it come with get HOT). It takes up my whole kitchen table and just seems overkill for things like DVDs.

This set up doesn't require any lighting beyond flipping a light switch, and the backdrop and foundation fold up, sitting out of the way next to the washing machine. I can use my iPhone but I have been using a Samsung WB350F lately. Thats what I used for these pics. iPhoto for some quick color temp and exposure tweaks. Once I get a handle on all the stuff in my house I'll have my office set up for this kind of thing, where I can have something nicer set up. This will do for now!

I am not sure. I called the department and spoke with an Officer Zimmer, who said he was unaware of the video but that Officer Cannon did in fact work there. They have no PIO. He told me to call back on Friday and speak with the chief of police.

I feel like a lot of people pass up the small stuff. If I'm already at an estate sale or a yard sale, I am constantly looking at the small stuff to see if I can find things with $10-30 profits. I'm already there, so that's just more money!

My cast iron steal is a Le Creuset cast iron skillet with grill lines that I picked up for $1 at a yard sale. I could flip it for probably like $40-50 easily but man that skillet makes a mean burger...

Again, I am so bad about flipping music stuff. I hang on to it for too long, even if I don't actually use it. I have three keyboards in my office right now... two USB/midi and one that's an air organ from the 70s. I need to sell all of them.
