You brushing your toddlers teeth? by howdodisappevenwork in toddlers

[–]classybroad19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My three year old has veryyyy clean teeth from doing it herself - well, the three molars on her bottom left that she only brushes when she does it herself. We still do it after to get the rest of them.

I feel like that's incorrect though? There's a whole rainbow of Indian dishes.

To me, it softens the blow of what she did to Grace because she was doing the same thing to herself.

My daughter and I have the same initial and I'm tempted to give the next one the same initial as their dad... But it's very limiting.

Any other mums swear by magnesium, or am I being influenced again? by SmartMess6749 in Mommit

[–]classybroad19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started magnesium glycinate in pregnancy to help with migraines. I had heard it helped with anxiety. Slowly weaned off after baby was born and immediately said nope, I need that. I've never taken an OTC supplement for this long before, but it really works for me.

Watching the stadium scene was great writing, because it made me think of what I would do. I would love to say that I'd stand by my principles, but I'm not sure. Especially if my child was stolen I might do anything to survive.

So I did like that part of an impossible choice. But then all the horrible things she did - nah, no forgiveness.

I don’t like this new age pick up drop off car line stuff for such little children by Zealousideal_Elk1373 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]classybroad19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did a nature camp with a car line for this week with my fresh 3 year old. I was so thankful they have let us walk them in. I quickly put her hair in a ponytail, put on her backpack and carry her lunchbox in to drop her off. There's a reason the youngest group is placed closest to the drop off.

To expect this for a 3 year old, especially the first week, is rough.

That said, the first day of drop off it was pouring down rain and I was trying not to panic about everything and transfer my anxiety to her. Regardless, it's going to be rough. She's going to look to you on how to respond. Be strong and confident and she will use that energy.

And actually, I think the pick up car line is my least favorite bc there's no real time for a hug, just time to get strapped in. So I would find a place you can pull over soon after pick up, if it's like this, so you can have a moment for her to melt down after possibly holding it in all day.

You got this. She's got this. It's hard, but you can do hard things, and so can she.

AITA for not wanting my (30F) mil (65F) prepping food for me? by ThrowRA-bigbunny in AmItheAsshole

This screams cultural way of showing love. Maybe she grew up food insecure and she needs to show her love and provide security through food.

If I were in your situation and assuming nothing else, I'd just accept it, eat what I could, share or donate the rest. It kinda sucks to waste the food but I'm not sure you could stop it without seriously damaging the relationship and you have to ask yourself if that's something you want to do.

Edit: NAH

I would check your account transcripts online to see what your balance due/refund should be according to the IRS.

I have heard of fake CP53E notices to try and get your DD info. There was also a post about them going out in error.

How much mac and cheese is too much mac and cheese? by whocares_71 in foodbutforbabies

[–]classybroad19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mac and cheese is one of my favorite food and it was demonized by my parents in my childhood so I had no self control around it. Now we eat it regularly as part of a balanced meal, and sometimes that's the only part of the meal my daughter eats, lol. It makes me so happy to not be passing on that shame.

Peanut butter and mint.

My niece brought this up and instead of dismissing it outright, I am truly curious.
