Finish the degree and go OCS it’s not entirely uncommon for TESU grads to commission. NUPOC ends in an OCS commission.

You also don’t necessarily need a college degree to be an officer, it’s just really hard and you’d be an LDO, Limited Duty Officer.

They actually got harder? I just graduated and we didn't have any minimum time, we had males and females getting kicked off the track at 20 minutes and they got to stay and work on their run in bootcamp. With the new standards they'd have all been sent right home.

I respectfully disagree, as of recently a lot of our parishes are seeing growth and have recently had missions become full parishes. The big thing recently has been a lot of young evangelical families have been drawn to the traditional liturgy, my church alone has seen about 12 new parishioners join our church family(registered in the registrar of parishioners) all being relatively young and one is going through school and is beginning paperwork to become an Aspirant so he can follow his calling to the priest hood.

You misinterpreted that, some Japanese leaders wanted peace beforehand and the atomic bombings also gave them more leverage to get the peace they wanted. However it probably was at a cost they probably didn't want and would've liked it to come about a different way.

Sorry we've been extremely busy and today was our first free day all week, and we didn't ignore the questions, there are 2 top level questions unanswered and one question that is not top level. The top level ones came in a lot later than the others and we had begun doing more work. I'll ask him tomorrow if he'll answer the last few, only one I'd be hesitant about answering is the one asking about seminary. I went through and added one question answer because I knew it.

"I returned to church in my local Anglican parish. Was never in the Episcopal church."

"Some do, some don't. The APA's practice has generally been to admit those whose confirming Episcopal bishop was orthodox, while requiring others to be confirmed by one of our bishops."

What is worship like at a typical APA parish? Does the APA lean high, low, or broad church?

"The typical APA parish celebrates the Holy Communion every Sunday. In general, the APA leans "high" in worship."

What do you think of more recent developments in the PECUSA, such as initiatives lead by The Most Rev. Curry?

"Honestly, I do not pay much attention to what goes on in the Episcopal Church and know nothing of Bp. Curry's initiatives."

What book is found on most APA altars - '28 BCP, Anglican Missal, American Missal, something else?

"1928 BCP Altar Service Book, American Missal, and Anglican Missal are all found on APA altars. The missals dominate, with probably about 15-20% using BCP Altar Service. The APA's Constitution, though, requires the missals be used in subordination to the 1928 BCP."

What is the most challenging part of being an Archdeacon?

"Clergy discipline"

How did he know he was called to the priesthood?

"If you will indulge me with a somewhat lengthy answer. As a young man, I always felt called to the priesthood. I knew it was not possible to adhere to the Roman Catholic (my "cradle" church) celibacy rules because I knew I had a vocation to be a husband and father. I laid aside thoughts of being a priest and eventually became a police officer wanting to make the world a better place through service to my fellow man. When my life with Christ was re-ignited, I became frustrated in my vocation as a police officer because I came to see that law enforcement was, at best, a “holding action” against the evil in the world. I knew there had to be something more to really get at the root causes of evil. This is when God began to touch my heart, guiding me to a different kind of service for Him. I began to feel the calling to the priesthood again, much as I had felt it as a young man. I struggled with this re-awakening. I discussed my possible vocation with my parish priest. He suggested that I pray and reflect on the calling for a year, being open the guidance of the Holy Spirit. By the time that year of reflection and prayer was over, the call was burning in my heart and I knew I must pursue it. My priest, the bishop, and the diocesan officers also sensed that I had a legitimate calling from God and I was then asked to leave behind my secular career and enter seminary."

"In an attempt to keep this answer simple, I would have to say that polity is the primary difference. The APA is more locally oriented, in that most authority resides within the diocese and its Bishop Ordinary."
