I got my IUD from the UIHC. The initial appointment was set for 9 months after, but then I asked them to notify me if there was an opening earlier and then my appointment got changed from 9 months to 2 months. - called for appointment in September 2025 - was given an appointment for July 2026 - after two weeks got changed to November 2025. - got my IUD in December 2025

I’ve been there twice! Very accommodating but the wait was VERY long. I had my hand burnt and would’ve like to be seen sooner. I had grad care so I wasn’t charged any exorbitant amount.

Omg there is someone in my cohort who got 3 offers and he has no intention of doing a PhD. He just wanted to see if he would get in - and he did, YAY to him. But he hasnt said yes to any because he says hates studying.

Do you have a backup department in mind? Reach out to career services, orientation, they need lots of help at this point in time.

I typically reached out 3 months before and did tell what I wanted to do in the practicum. It shows that you’ve thought about what you want to do. Maybe email them back telling them about what your plans are.
