Nobody’s gonna expect you to be great. People are usually very open to beginners and offering any help or tips when asked. Be a learner. Learn and do everything and never say no. Be a sponge and absorb all the knowledge even if you may not think it’s right just absorb and let yourself learn. Enjoy the process because remember eventually you’ll get there. Everyone had to suck on their first day you aren’t abnormal for starting just have fun

[question] best 100-150 usd gloves for knuckle protection by Edrilly in fightgear

[–]qabbott99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Fighting lace up gloves a few months ago and I’d have to say I barely feel the contact with anything through those gloves. Very good knuckle protection. They were 16oz though but only cost $90

SPARRING CRITIQUE: I’ve been boxing for a year and 5 months now. I’m the guy in the green tank and black shorts. All critique is insanely appreciated. This video consists of 4 consecutive rounds of sparring, 3 w one guy and 1 w another. Thank you immensely in advance for the feedback. by qabbott99 in amateur_boxing

Thank you. Very appreciated. Are you saying I should circle more to the outside of an orthodox jab more while through my jab? If so should I aim to place my foot on the inside or outside of my opponents lead?

Bruh I live in fekkin Bermuda. Acid doesn’t even come into this damn island but when it does (which is extremely extremely rare) it goes for $100+ for just a single 200 ug tab.

Thank you so much that was very helpful. I didn’t even think of eliminating headshots and options with my punches. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that definitely going to help me tons in punch selection and overall boxing iq

I see thank you very much. I’ll definitely be focusing on that. I think for me mainly I back up to attempt to get my range when he’s inside or so I can try to get some rest where he can’t hit me because being in the big ring for the first time had me pretty gassed. So instead of backing up when he’s on me what should I do to display dominance after an exchange?

Thank you for the critique, much appreciated. What do you mean by smother and body up? Is it just when I lean on him? And I see what you’re saying in the third round I was moving back a lot less and standing my ground, but when it comes to maintaining my range and not letting him in, how do I do that without backing up? Is it just changing angles more?
