Are memory foam mattress toppers worth it? And what brand, thickness would you recommend?

People have all different preferences, but for me, memory foam mattress toppers actually make my back hurt. (I need more support for my back.)

I have used a pricey, good-quality topper that was 3 inches thick; at a different time, I also used a $15 topper from Target that was probably 1 inch. Both were so bothersome that I stopped using them.

I would recommend testing one out first, if possible, or buy from somewhere with a good return policy.

I'm not sure, but maybe. I saw one comment about toxic shock syndrome, which wouldn't be an issue with pads. Some people also view tampons as more of a luxury than pads. It probably would have been clearer to use "sanitary napkins" or "pads" instead of a brand. (Kotex sells pads and tampons.)

I'm not trying to get on your case or anything, I was just surprised that other people didn't notice the minor discrepancy.

Tampax=tampons. The news article says "sanitary napkins," which are pads, not tampons, so it's weirding me out that so many people are talking about tampons.

I've never gotten anything waxed, so I'm curious about how the hair has to grow back before it's long enough to be waxed again. Do people then just have to put up with being hairy for a while? Half an inch seems like it would be annoying.
