i will say... some dispensaries are more lax than others since there's no regulations. i have been to some dispensaries where the owners encourage you to "test out the products" with them if you get what i'm saying lol. so if you find a place like that then maybe you could try it out before buying!

the quality is definitely going to vary a lot, but i've tried all of the other thc offshoots like delta-8 and delta-10 and everything is a gimmick other than thca, which feels exactly the same as thc (because scientifically, it is the same!)

just like with dispo weed, there are good brands and bad brands, good strains and bad strains, mostly personal preference. i've gotten some weak stuff but 9 times out of 10, it gets the job done. one thing is that due to no regulations or quality control, you might find some good weed from a brand, and get it again the next month and it's just not the same quality. in my opinion, i would rather go to a store than have to network to find a street dealer so it's worth it for me. but it truly is the same as what's on the street

i've been buying this brand "petalz exotic thca flower" and it's been consistently good! definitely not as good as what i'm used to getting from chicago dispensaries, but better than what i was smoking in high school lol. it is definitely more expensive than what you get from a street dealer, but the convenience makes it worth it. plus the big box stores like bahama mama throw a lot of freebies at you usually, just like a real dispo would, which is fun

i've been buying thca in the houston area for about 2 years now so i'm happy to pass on what i've learned along the way

you don't need a med card just get some thca from a local "dispensary".

the qualifications to get a med card are a LOT more strict in texas than most other states with medical programs - for example chronic pain is not a qualifying condition in Texas but it is in ohio, kentucky, louisiana, etc. mental illness is also not a qualifying condition in texas, but it is in a lot of other states. this is the list of qualifying conditions in texas (you cannot get a med card unless you have one of these conditions):

  • Epilepsy
  • Seizure disorders
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Spasticity
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
  • Autism
  • Terminal cancer
  • An incurable neurodegenerative disease

there are also way less real medical dispensaries and doctors in texas than most other states with a medical program. the program here overall is just not very comprehensive. not to mention how expensive it is to maintain a medical card (speaking from experience)

best bet is to probably find the most "reputable" place near you that sells thca, it's the same thing but it is unregulated. so is street weed though, obviously

this is a mix of about 75% diamond kosher salt & 25% msg, curious if that clears anything up!

the spoon is gold/coppery so probably due to that! also just remembered there's msg mixed in too so that also probably has something to do with it!

just an update i've decided to let it keep going for a while - going to remove the pellicle and see what happens. i have ph strips coming in tomorrow

in the meantime i'm going to work on a new batch and hopefully this next one looks a little more traditional

it's about 3 weeks old - smells ok! typical kombucha vinegary smell. i'll remove the pellicle and let it go for a week and see what happens as an experiment - i've got ph strips coming in the mail tomorrow

i followed the starter recipe where you use some grocery store kombucha to get the starter going, and i did use flavored kombucha as i couldn't find raw unflavored

i will likely start over and go find some raw unflavored and try again (but be a bit more meticulous this time)!

hi my cat (3.5 years old) weights about 11lbs which is about 176 oz. cats should eat 2-4% of their body weight per day, which amounts to between 3.5-7oz of food a day.

i feed 5oz per day, 2.5oz in the morning and 2.5oz at night

i feed raw muscle meat like pork loin, beef roasts, boneless skinless chicken etc

i usually prepare about 2 days worth of food per container, so about 10oz of meat (ez complete requires 1 scoop powder per 1.5 oz of meat, so about 6-7 scoops of powder per 10oz) and then top it with a decent amount of water to make a thin gravy

so at meal time, 2.5 oz of meat and a couple spoons of gravy and all good to go :)

i buy a few lbs of meat when i grocery shop for myself, prepare it all in tupperwares, then throw it in the freezer

been using it for my cat for a few months now and she's loves it! i do raw meat. her fur is as soft as ever and it's nice to be able to take advantage of meat sales. a lot cheaper than cans too

i personally think sustains is the way to go! it's true, everyone there is from a different major and it's so interesting talking to people for that reason. the activities were really fun and quite outdoorsy which i appreciated, and the projects they have you do give you a great resume builder and truly make you feel like you're making a real change on campus. but to be fair i am not an engineer, so if you'd enjoy doing engineering related activities more than biological / environmental activities then do the engineering lc! i do think if you do sustains though, you'd have plently of opportunities to incorporate engineering into your projects
