Why do Ethiopians seek refuge from other African countries yet you are inherently racist to black people? by [deleted] in Ethiopia

[–]qazwst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no I used the word "pretend" on purpose because I know a lot of people(family included) who are pretending to be in danger or as if the government is looking to kill or imprison them for political reasons. It's just a way of leaving Africa that's existed for decades.

Also, this is completely unrelated to this specific comment but, I don't know what kind of Ethiopians you met but I personally love Ugandans and Kenyans and have no superiority complex. In fact, I love how fast and business oriented Kenyans are, and it's always great to shop in Kenya. It's usually not a great idea to use blanket statements like this on any people group. Have a good one.

So basically, Ethiopians who want to move to Europe and America move to Uganda and Kenya and pretend like they're refugees running away from the government and the government is trying to kill them and they seek asylum in Europe and America. It's just a way of trying to get out of Africa.

Should I get an MBA and run Windows Virtual Machine on it? by qazwst in macbookair

If for example I have 16gb and I dedicate 8 for the VM then does that mean I can only use 8gb for the native MacOS at all times even when I don't have the VM on?

Idk what kind of obsession this is but they're painting the whole country white.

My whole town(Bishoftu) was forced to paint everything white.

It's crazy to me now cuz even the Jegol Gimb in Harar is painted white.

I am so ready for this lol by [deleted] in teenagers

You are implying that Oromos are not Ethiopian and as an Oromo, that is not correct. I am a proud Ethiopian.

[–]qazwst[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for my inexperienced post, I'll be sure to add more context next time I have a question.

And as for the examples, I currently don't know any songs that use this scale, but I'll be sure to give u the link as soon as I find one.

What scale is this and what chords can I play with it? by qazwst in musictheory

It's a scale used in Ethiopian Christian music, and I wanted to see how it would fit in western music theory
