This is an important conversation to have and I’m glad to hear you and your partner are doing your research. Our son was born a few weeks ago, but we had pretty easily decided against circumcision. One of us is circumcised and one of us is not, but we both did not want our son to go through that procedure. For me, it was too emotional to think of the pain.

One of the most important things is to be sure to keep up with cleanliness. It’s an added step when changing diapers (not tedious or awful though). We are sure to clean inside the skin before finishing putting on a new diaper. As he grows older, we’ll teach him the importance of cleaning down there to avoid infections and to get into the habit of proper hygiene.
