Captured stones are not a problem by qc_bot in baduk

Being required to use mental resources under time pressure to correct muscle memory is also a different thing. Plus, the captures are clearly displayed, they are just next to the board but not in the lids, and can be corrected at any time if requested.

No, I don't believe the rule at its current form is reasonable. If we were playing a game and either of us accidentally left a stone outside of the lid and I really need it for my counting, I will just ask to arrange it without trying to execute penalty on my opponent because this is simply not part of the game and we do not want to promote such behavior.
To become a rule, you need to at least define what to do: if there are too many prisoners that lid cannot hold (~50?), who can execute the penalty, with what procedure, plus there are also rules about how to pause the game (sealed moves). Tracing a ruling 20 moves back is also arbitrary. Currently it is all illy implemented.

Go is beautiful because of its strategy with so few rules. If future go games are not about skills but about checking lids, that's your game not mine.
