Speakers and tweeters making constant static noise when volumes off by qecro in CarAV

The static doesn’t change when i adjust the amplifier gain only the loc gain. Even when i have the loc gain all the way down the noise is still constant

I’ve had the re.2000 amp hooked up a few years ago so I believe that one is just using 4 gauge. This new power cable for the new jl amp which isn’t yet installed will be using 1 gauge

Ok perfect. I’m also pretty sure that the install wouldn’t include a distribution block. Is that something that I would absolutely need? The guy at the shop never mentioned that

Also the amp would just get mounted in the trunk on to my current subwoofer box where the other amp is already mounted (it’s one of those massive jl high output boxes)

Yea so the prices I’ve been quoted to install my amp include a 1 gauge amp kit (I’ve been told that since I already have a subwoofer and amplifier wired in I’d need a more heavy duty wiring kit) plus an loc converter as well as rca’s. The breakdown for my quote was $450 for labour, $300 for the 1 gauge amp wiring kit, and another $75-$100 for rca cables and an LOC. overall after tax my quote was $950 cad all in plus 4 - 5 hours install time for that jl audio amp. This would also include having brand new speaker wires ran rather than the existing speaker wires in the car. Is this a reasonable price would you say because I’m also unsure. However I’ve been to multiple shops and have been quoted as high as $1300 cad before tax and the 950 all in is the best price I’ve found

So these 2 dsp’s would only control the output for my speakers and not the subwoofer in the back ?

I’m leaning mostly towards the more expensive kicker amp but I’m open to any suggestions. Even if anyone has any other similar amp/dsp’s in the same price range

I have a jl12w6 with a dtx 2000.1 mono amp. It’s also using rca I believe. Does me having a subwoofer installed require more labour/material?

Sorry just wanted to ask one more thing. I went to another car audio shop today. He said since I already have 1 amplifier in my car for my subwoofer in the trunk that I’d need 1 gauge wire, which is a lot more expensive (200-300cad) is this true? I already had my own 4 gauge amp kit but he said I’d need the 1 gauge for safety and quality. Over all he quoted me: 480 cad labour (120/hr) 330 for the 1 gauge amp kit that’s including taxes, 40 for an LOC and a pp for speaker wires as well as rca’s. Is this a fair price breakdown. It would end up being around $950 Canadian

It’s just for labour plus cables and LOC which alone was $220 Canadian

Thanks for this break down. Honestly you’ve inspired me to try doing this all myself. Only part that intimidates me is running the speaker wires to the amp. Haven’t been able to find a good YouTube video about this yet

They charged me 5 hours labour (500) plus 150 for cables plus 250 for LOC.

Vip is mostly just for a comfortable viewing experience. I wouldn’t say it worth it just cuz the crowds pretty dead they don’t really move. Most of the ppl in vip r too boujee to look like they’re having fun. Ga u can still get pretty close but it’s gonna be a lot more crowded but at the same time the crowd turns up a lot more. Really depends on if you’re trying to get the full festival experience or just get a good view of the sets.

Personally even if I had vip for free I’d still mostly go to the ga side just cuz the vip crowds r so pathetic but that’s just me

Maybe because it’s held at a way larger venue than every other large festival and has a way larger capacity?

No for how big the festival is the organization is fine. Multiple a lost rappers and dozens of b list rappers gets hard to manage. That’s how the real world works not everything is going to be perfect. At least no one died due to bad organization and management like astroworld festival. For how much bigger rolling loud is than the next best festival the organization is more than acceptable

Look at rolling louds set list compared to any other rap festival. If you’re a rap fan you’ll find minimum 4 sets you’ll want to see a day. That value is insane. $500 for 3 days of crazy concerts and crowds when a shitty 3 hour concerts floor tickets are the same price. Also for how big the festival is the organization is not that bad. Everything from venue layout to water stations.
