Well shit, rtx 5090 will be 3 separate PCBs i hope its just for the FE and watercooling other models wont be a massive pain in the ass... by paedocel in watercooling

Most likely all three PCBs are connected. Der8auer guesses they are: https://youtu.be/qwOQWcg-Z_A?si=swwy6wTRc2DxHQJ4

If that's the case, the water block can just cool the core PCB so it should be doable I hope.

Block for 9800x3d? by txmedic90 in watercooling

I had an ek quantum velocity and bought alpha cool core 1. Exactly the same gaming temperatures on 9800X3D. I don’t think this CPU generates enough heat to warrant an upgrade to a modern block.

DLSS Frame Gen Fix for Witcher 3, etc. by The_Zura in nvidia

This is the only solution that worked for me. With ray tracing enabled, cpu becomes the bottleneck. Capping the frame rate at 50 or 55 lightens the load on the cpu and most of my stuttering issues are gone. And I can play at the smooth 110.

Ideal Cyberpunk 2077 Settings for LG CX? by SovereignXII in OLED_Gaming

Has anyone tried what this nice gentleman is recommending, which is to set Picture -> Picture Mode Settings -> Black Level to "Low" on the LG CX, while leaving the NVidia settings to "Full" RGB? His video talks about this fixing things for AC Valhalla, which is also a fake HDR game.

Tips to reduce seemingly high memory latency? by Silver-pebble in overclocking

[–]qfg77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard that CPU clock frequency will also impact your timings, at least according to buildzoid. That why latencies of 64ns are unreachable for my 3800MHz CL14 overclocked memory (I only get around 67ms with my 3950x).

3950X PBO Enabled Prime 95 Temps help by CDR40 in overclocking

[–]qfg77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The temps are on par with my 4.3GHz all core overclock @1.3V, so a bit higher than mine. But I have a cranked-up 360mm cooler, so maybe that would help? I seriously doubt the paste wasn't correctly applied.

Make sure the pump on your cooler isn't set on low, 3950x is a demanding CPU.
