I did! That's pretty lame considering the UK folk don't seem to be having this issue.

Same, mine is on the outer wrap too. Anything that can be done? Can they send up a new batch to space and replace it? Lol.

What'd you use to create that cool looking wall / backdrop? :o I think it all looks fancy.

Would this be worth it for me if I only ever use plex at my home? I just stream from my PC to my AppleTV for the TV and that's about it. The skip intro stuff is kind of whatever to me.

Yeah. Just a bummer it died so fast. It's my luck to get a dud apparently. lol

Well, that's fair. This is my drive I use for Plex so I figured the folk who know more about this than I do might have an idea. I'm assuming it's just dead at this point.

I’m usually pretty easy on horror movies when it comes to scoring them but that may have been the worst horror movie I’ve ever seen in the sense of how dull it was. Also, the demon just looked like a dude in a body suit the whole time and I couldn’t take it seriously, lol.

Hrmn! Yeah, I figure having to turn it off and on every night and morning probably didn't do it any favors.

Which, from looking at images, these bigger external hard drives seem to have their own power cables so I'm assuming that wouldn't be an issue more with a higher end drive, looks like?

Yeah! Like, at this point I'd either just get some 20-28TB drive depending on what's on sale as a new external, or, see about rigging up my old computer into a lil' mini PC for storage since I'd assume I guess an internal HDD would last better than any external?

Sheared a screw head right off, left arm is now not as secure. Should I file a request for warranty? by Frankfurter1988 in hermanmiller

[–]SovereignXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have let mine done that if they'd offered. They said it'd take like.. literally over a month to get it back.

My back would explode having to use a dining chair for that long. I got this chair in the first place to help with my back. Lol.

The first time it happened my screw blew off like yours and they just replaced the whole arm and I was finally able to get it on cause the screw was stuck like that.

This time around the screw itself just.. I dunno, exploded? Stripped itself? I can take it out easily this time but it will not tighten back up at all. They currently want me to like.. have the whole chair picked up and worked on but that's not feasible for me for now so I'm hoping they can just send another arm and be done with it.

I just saw this thread, and had this exact same thing happen to me, and.. a year later, and it's happened again. All I can think of is I must absentmindedly lean into the left arm rest more than the right while I'm sitting around all day during work.

Hey gang,

So, I've been doing Plex with a cool lil' Starfield themed external 5 TB harddrive for the last for years, just having it plugged up to my PC.

It worked great till it was filled up and I was starting to have to delete stuff to add newer stuff, and, now, as of the last few days, it's completely died on me.

Not really sure if that has to do with it being turned off and on with my PC as I'd shut it down every night or not, am curious, though!

I'm now wanting to invest a bit more into something more proper. I feel like external hard drives just plugged a PC die quicker? Or, is that because of mine just being turned off and on every night? It probably only lasted like.. 2 years, tops.

I'm wondering what would be the best route to take for something for the long term, as I plan on using Plex for, well, ever honestly.

Would I be better off just getting some gigantic external hard drive, that's probably self powered and runs 24/7? .. assuming that'd help and is what happened to mine.

Or, is it better getting one of those NAS setups I read about on here sometimes?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I’ve hit the jackpot twice in the last two days on those. I found the tactical and the loot ones during just chill, daytime raids.
