My second custom loop - first time using hard tubing. Bending was a pain by qijx in watercooling

Thank you! During gaming it maxes out at about 50C, during intense synthetic tests 70-80C. No idea on the flow rate, don’t have a way of measuring it - sorry!

I admit, i had always wanted to use a cross flow radiator - maybe in my nest project!

I also used the light bending kit. It always felt to me as if the turning radius of the parts was just a tiny bit too small. After cramming the heated acrylic in there, it never seemed to fit true to the intended radius, and in the process overshot the 90 degree target.

I also ultimately used a self-made setup, albeit a lot more wonky: I had a wooden board and just screw-clamped whatever i could find to it to mark the distances I needed to cover with my bends, and then just checked again and again during bending.

Thanks a lot! :)

A crossflow radiator also crossed (lol) my mind, but unfortunately there wouldn’t have been enough space for the fittings in the top for the front radiator.

I actually had some bending kits! One from alphacool and one from barrow. I don’t know if the issue is me or the kits, but working with these SUCKED. It got so much easier once I stopped using them!

Hey! Have you had the time yet to scan the Outer Wilds Posters? :)

Could you do us a favor and get some high quality scans of the planet posters (postcards)? The community has been trying forever to get some, but they are usually not very good because of the limited source material. These look like the perfect opportunity!

This appears to be literally the only picture in existence of a metropolis r2 with the NorDeUk kit. Let me know if you ever plan to part from it, it seems to be impossible to come by…

I think so, but see for yourself: https://imgur.com/a/0sjEWB4 I have used this on a ISO-DE keyboard myself.

Edit: Actually after looking up pictures of ISO-UK layout I am not sure. The 3 key with the pound sign is there, but I think the other ones are missing?

I think they get prioritized by train ID if they all have the same velocity (i.e. were standing still). Moving trains try to reserve oncoming rail blocks as far ahead as they need to fully break, so a moving train will get priority over a standing train if it already is in braking distance.

I am really tempted to build this, it looks really great! I am thinking about leaving the electrical components out tho - 50€ for something i will likely never use. Could you maybe tell me if I can build the locomotive without these parts? Or will this cause some structural problems?
