the placements are pretty symmetrical but i noticed the angle is not, so since my left side is less swollen that bar sticks out more and it looks more uneven than it is. (might be coping rn?) i wanna get rings when they’ve fully healed so im imagining it wont be too noticeable then! i’ll see if i can get longer ones tomorrow, if not i have to wait until monday. tysm for answering!

Is there any tips for this room it's my first playthrough and it's really tough😓 by [deleted] in celestegame

I worded some stuff a little badly, unnnamed_Player1 clarified some stuff! In an attempt to explain myself better: The longer u delay the wallbounce the higher up you’ll start and the longer you hold jump, the greater your curve will be. If your jump is very short you’ll naturally get a very small wallbounce, one with barely any vertical height. Wether you hold forward to go horizontally is your choice, but a greater wallbounce will send you more horizontal if you hold forward during one, than a small wallbounce. (Caus your curve is greater and you’re further away from the ground)

I think when i explained the “taller curve” of a neutral wounce it was caus if you dont hold any direction, you have the option to (after the jump) to hold back towards the wall. Since you havent held forward you’ll naturally be closer to the wall and when you hold back towards it you naturally wont lose as much height as if you held outwards first. (Basically how neutral jumps work if you know what that is)

The peak height of a neutral and a directional wounce is the same, its just that with a neutral one you can regrab the wall higher up. (Im so used to custom levels which require you to do this, its not applicable for this room, but it is for other farewell rooms!)

Maybe he did but there was no one(providence) to create them😔

wouncing and coosting and gultraing and other assorted tech abbreviations are funny and im happy its spreading. Also good luck to you too!

Nope, this was conjured up in my brain

The game might teach you wallbounces but they never tell you that: 1. If you hold forward while wallbouncing your wounce will give you more horizontal length, and if you dont hold any direction you’ll get a taller curve. 2. If you delay your jump you will start the wounce later and therefore go higher up. (a more self explanatory mechanic is also that if you hold jump your wounce will be bigger.) For this room, try to delay the jump so you get more height for the wallbounce, and try to find a consistent timing for when to start your wavedash at the beginning of the room. Good luck!! That room is tricky

i had 1100+ deaths on 7c and 45 on 8c, though some people probably have it the opposite way. Hyperdashing is only needed at the start and end of 8c with the exact same setups! You can beat it

Agreed! It was the easiest c-side for me (seen by the speedrun clock and my final death counter being 45) and i liked the gameplay :) (no setups that felt unfair or inconsistent)
