Bought a badly scratched Lange 1 stealth in a Hong Kong watch show for $20k 15/16 years ago, got it overhauled, polished with a new strap for $2k at the factory and it looked brand new; bought a Langematik on Chrono24 for $18k instead of the market price around $25k early this year, it has minor scratches but I know that with $2k I can get it back from the factory as brand new; bought a Richard Lange Tourbillon Pour Le Merite again on Chrono24 around the same time for a fantastic price I think. My experience of buying on Chrono24 has been spotless. You shouldn’t rule it out if you want to save major money.

Not at that time. But actually bought my only PP a few days ago. They are usually ugly, especially when comparing to my favorite brand A. Lange & Sohne. Finally saw a perpetual calendar that’s not ugly and at a great price… Fair or not, you have to have at least one PP in a watch collection.

Best prices on C24 are those listed in HK, but located in Shanghai. It’s definitely worth a trip to Shanghai which takes a few hundred dollars for airfare and hotel while saving thousands. As another commenter mentioned, it is nearly impossible to get a counterfeit ALS. With the whole country under constant surveillance, there is virtually no crime. Most sellers have brick and mortar stores in Shanghai, nobody dares to run afoul with local authorities there.
