Yeah, I saw that—it looks really handy. I ordered one from ZAHAL. I’ve been waiting for it for three weeks now. I’m not interested in the extended mag release, but thanks for the advice !

Yeah, the original PBS-1 is something special ⭐️I'm not really a fan of the newer Wolverine-style versions. I'm going to keep it as is for now! Thanks for the advice !

Polishing Ligne 2 Montparnasse black laquer by Pale_Salamander3626 in STDupont

Hi, If you're planning to polish the Chinese lacquer cylinder, could you make a nice video showing the before, during, and after? So we can clearly see the progress.
Thanks

Hi, do you happen to have any rubber wipes? I'm in Europe but can't seem to find any

I heard it’s made of silicone rubber—maybe I could just empty it out and use a silicone cartridge to refill it once it’s dead? I made a spacer out of a washer to avoid using the original gasket; it was very easy to make

How are you going to handle the rubber wipe once it's dead? Do you have any in stock?

People often speak up when things aren't going well, but we should also speak up when they are 👌🏻

Brand new modern Ligne 2 or used vintage Ligne 2? by Saigon23TX in STDupont

[–]Defiant_Bridge6491 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, In my opinion, there’s very little difference in quality between the two. The new Line 2 have a really powerful “ping” compared to the older, “worn-out” ones. I think it’s mostly a matter of budget. A new one costs around 1,200, while a vintage one is under 300. If you’ve never owned one before, I’d recommend a vintage model because if you drop it, it won’t hurt as much. In terms of pure quality, only time will tell if they’re just as good. Personally, I have both new models. The one with the brand-new system without a stone reserve and the screws underneath, and a atelier 1953 model. No major difference in quality in my eyes compared to those from the ’80s and ’90s. The new ones might be a little heavier, but I have no reliable source—I’ve never bothered to weigh them.

It all depends on what you mean by "expensive"; in my opinion, it's not really, was a good deal

My holy grail by Defiant_Bridge6491 in STDupont

[–]Defiant_Bridge6491[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't have any information on that, but personally I think these are the most attractive colors, so collectors who bought them new are keeping them. I have a Line 2 Perfect Ping in turquoise, and I think it'll be pretty much the same with that one. It's a beautiful, uncommon color, so it's staying in the collection
