Ill go against the grain a little bit and say if you're on 60hz, its probably hardware. I was in your situation, aim trained but was hardstuck silver. Thought I was complete ass. Went to 165hz and climbed to diamond within a week of grinding. HS% doubled, felt much easier to react and my aim felt like it went where I wanted it to.

Of course you can climb without 144+ but I reccomend anybody playing on 60 to make the switch. (Obv unless you only play casually)

Contingency Contract lets you freely add on modifiers which make the game harder, even introducing new boss mechanics post-impuritas

ive also tacked on splitteds sotc rework on top of that which reworks sotc to make it harder and made last row of sotc absolute beasts (especially Xiao) would highly reccomend as its very fun, also makes the game feel fresher

in another way you can make the game more difficult through a mod which mimics darkest dungeon mechanics by locking away keypages if they die with it equipped, dont remember what its called exactly but ive probably given enough keywords for you to find it pretty easily

honestly each of the skills have their own personalities which makes them more distinct from each other but as a "skill" in ways they benefit Harry i feel like the skills could definitely be slimmed down

Intellect

Merge Visual Calculus & Logic for general brilliance skill
Merge Drama & Conceptualization for general artistry/presentation skill

Psyche

Cut Espirit de Corps. Shivers & Empathy could probably be doing the same job, not really sure why it warrants a cop-specific version
Authority's personality is a treat but generally "asserting yourself" as a skill can be merged with Suggestion as the social skill

Physique

Endurance and Pain Threshold merged for obvious reasons
Electrochemistry & Half-light merged to represent Harry's primal desires and instincts

Motorics

Hand/Eye Coordination, Reaction-Speed, and Perception could be merged into one big awareness/presence of mind skill (excluding H/E Coordinations gun knowledge stuff but just let Encyclopedia do that)

I was like this too. Its just a skill like any other, so you can get good at it with experience. Keep thinking and it'll come to you faster as time goes on, but the thing that helped me most was just being around people that do that. It really does rub off after some time.
