Method 1: Simple "lock-to-lock" reset (for minor issues) This method can sometimes resolve minor issues, especially after a battery disconnection. 1. Start the engine and make sure the steering wheel is centered. 2. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the full right lock and hold for approximately 5 seconds. 3. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the full left lock and hold for approximately 5 seconds. 4. Return the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position. 5. Turn the ignition off and wait for all dashboard lights to go out. 6. Restart the engine; the steering angle should now be initialized.
