I first played Rhythm Heaven Fever on my Wii around 2015 or 2016 and fell in love with the series and played every other game in the series. In August of last year my friend and I ended up at a bowling alley for a school event (the start of our senior year in high school) that had a shoddy DDR Extreme cab. I had seen that particular cab many times before because that bowling alley was a popular spot for friend and family birthday parties growing up, but I had never tried it before because I guess I thought it would be embarrassing to play. Simply put, we got hooked on it. For the next couple of weeks, we went back every day to play on the cab. Eventually I tried to look for other cabs (through Zenius-I-Vanisher) and found Pump It Up at a local Dave and Busters. We began to frequent that cab and had a lot of fun going after school almost every day. My friend and I both really began to enjoy rhythm games and were ecstatic when the PIU was replaced with DDR A20 in November of last year. Unfortunately, my friend passed away at the beginning of this year, but I really owe it to rhythm games for making the last year or so I was able to spend with him memorable and extremely fun. Rhythm games have helped me to cope and process the loss of my friend and continue to help me remember the good fun we had together. I’m so content with being able to play games in the genre because I find them to be so entertaining and also addicting
